  • For a fresh salsa verde, simmer tomatillos, and hot peppers (jalapenos are good, serranos are hotter, but you can take out most of the heat by cutting them open and pulling out all seeds and white parts-use gloves!) Then throw them in the blender with garlic, onion, and salt to taste. It's yumm. :) - 2/9/15

I'll make a few subs for personal taste: minced jalapenos and/or green chiles (can used canned) instead of bells, coriander, chopped cilantro (remove pan from heat and add), and salsa fresca and yogurt for dipping.   • Made these a couple of weeks ago and DH loved them. Thinking it's time to make them again. The hardest part was sealing them and that was actually fun. Served with a side salad and glass on non-fat milk to round out the meal. - 2/26/11

  • As this looks good and is pretty good for what you get. The fats are quite high for this. To add a little more of a tweak reduce the cheese, use fat free cheese or skip it all together. If you look the fats are about 14g that is just a bit too high, almost half that of what you should take for a day - 2/26/11
