Diced, grilled chicken breast; shredded cheddar; diced apples; dried cranberries; and grape tomatoes. Served with sliced, toasted almonds and Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. My healthy way for my favoite take out salad.Submitted by 2BFREE2LIVE
Olive Garden's Soup or Zuppa, this is my low sodium, lower in fat version of my favorite soup to dine out for. Easy to make and leftovers are even tastier the next day! Great along side a salad for lunch or beginning course at dinner.Submitted by TMARIE40
My family loves pasta. It's comfort food on cold Minnesota days and makes a great Sunday family dinner. But eating at Olive Garden can be a challenge when you're trying to watch your weight, so we make this healthy version at home instead. I love how simple it is - you don't have to cook the noodles first, just put them in dry and they cook while it's baking. Leftovers make great lunches and can even be frozen in single-serve container for future use. Submitted by DEFORREST
This is a makeover of Cracker Barrel's Chicken & Dumplings. My aunt had created the original recipe which called for 1.75 lb chicken and whole milk. It was always one of my families favorite dinners that I made once in a while on special Sundays. Recently, I decided to try a healthier version of it with lower calories, cholesterol & sodium to see if it would pass the "family test". It did! They couldn't tell the difference. The healthy version of this recipe went down 76 calories, 31mg cholosterol & 1104 mg of sodium per serving.
On a side note, I know some people who use prepackaged biscuit dough to make their dumplings to make it easier but I don't like the taste of the perservatives because it makes the whole recipe taste like it came out of can. There is nothing like homemade!

Faster, cheaper and just as rich and delicious but so much more healthy than the restaurant versions. Try substituting the unsweetened chocolate Almond Breeze almond milk for a chocolately treat. Submitted by MRSDUDLEY
These burgers are spiced to perfection. To make them even spicier, you could melt jalapeno soy cheese on each patty and serve topped with salsa.
Pizza is one of my favorite foods, and the sweet sauce at Papa John's is my all-time favorite. My viewpoint is, if you're going to make it at home, don't make it "just as good," make it better! So I'm remaking a medium Papa John's pie with pineapple, onion and bacon(BACON!!!). Fresh homemade sauce and premium ingredients make this recipe more than worth the calories, and still trimmer than the fast food original!Submitted by KRAMTHEGRAM
