I use to put cucumbers in the refrigerator and never could figure out why they went bad so quickly. Learned about 6 months ago to store them on the counter and they now last for 2 weeks

Tho everyone says not to wash produce until you use it, letting your strawberries/ raspberries/ any berries rest a while in cool water which has a sploosh of vinegar added to it will double the storage time. Maybe longer. The vinegar cannot be tasted.
