Been fighting a cold since getting back from vacation. I should wear a mask on flights. For me, long airline trips are worse than being around little kids or a doctor's office for ensuring I get sick!

Best way is to drink lots of water and eat green vegs.

This article was very helpful. I am extra careful to eat foods which boost my immune system after battling a severe bacterial infection several years ago caused by an antibiotic. I do take acidophoulos as a supplement every day and no longer take antibiotics. Thankfully, my health is even better now and this program is good with the trackers and the many ways to exercise. I also exercise daily with one 45 minute cardio workout and other workouts from the 6 challenges I do everyday. I love being healthy and fit!

I've heard that mushrooms have something in them that boosts the immune system; anyone know if there is any truth in that?

I've just read this with great interest. Sadly it's come too late for me as right now I'm battling the flu, and have had to stop working out until I can get up and about again.
I guess I don't get enough sleep and my diet is too restrictive, so there are 2 things I can start on right away to hopefully help myself in the future.

I sometimes see very direct results in immune system and health - like I can be feeling under the weather and exercise will help me feel better. Most of the other areas listed are the same way for me. My one area to work on is to focus on what foods listed I am eating and how to think that thru more on a daily basis.

This article is so helpful. Stress is so bad these days and sleep is right up there with it! Just doesn't seem like there is enough sleep time and things happen all to often to cause stress.

I definitely need to put some of these to work!

Thanks SP.

Keep in mind that most of your immune system is in your gut. Healthy gut equals healthy everything.

The foods that make you fat ALSO ruin your immune system. Obesity is a symptom NOT a cause.

The biggest culprits are the empty calories in grains and starches. Most people think that they only need to cut out sugar to improve their health, but it's almost impossible to cut JUST sugars. You'll be starving, crabby, and having constant cravings.

Starch is the enemy - it feeds all the wrong gut bacteria, makes your body store energy as fat instead of using it, and gives you almost no nutritional bang for your caloric buck!

I was hoping for something more. My son has struggled with a weak immune system most of his life, and none of this is going to help him.
