Write a grocery list and stick to it. I follow a meal plan so know exactly what I need to buy. Since I cook almost every meal, I don't have any interest in buying more food than I have to!

Do a search! Start cooking and search on "recipe XYZ" where XYZ are extra ingredients in your kitchen!

Articles about saving money on food almost always recommend shopping at the farmer's market. Prices at my local market are always substantially higher than the supermarket prices. I can buy green beans at the grocery store for just over two dollars a pound because they come from Mexico. Local green beans cost more than four Dillard's a pound, and that's just one example.

This is a good article with a lot ot great ideas. I wonder though how economical it is to have your groceries delivered? With everything being so costly I'd rather use that money to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables than pay for delivery.
