I'm not sure how to make myself how to follow the diet. I can make myself do the workouts well atleast for now, but the diet is my mortal enemy.

My favorite smoothie is made with 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries, half a banana, a cup of ice, some water and two tablespoons of ground flax. This is enough for about three cups. Its a good way to get flax.

I had a friend introduce me to smoothies. I love them. My kids hate to eat breakfast but I can get them to have a smoothie in the morning, even my picky eater. I sip this throughout the morning and I find it does the trick. also if I feel like something sweet this really does the trick if I use chocolate. I used to drink caramel lattes from dunkins every morning now I have a smoothie. Much better choice.

I absolutely love smoothies in the morning. I use a protein shake mix like the Curves Protein Shake, or WW shake, add in a pack of flavored gelatin, almond milk, 1 cup of ice, and blend. Sometimes I use real fruit (frozen) instead of the ice. Very delicious and keeps me full for at least 2-3 hours.

My favorite smoothie, which I tend to have as a post-run meal, is 8 oz. skim milk, ice, a scoop of either strawberry or vanilla whey protein powder, and a dash of sugar free syrup (the kind they use in coffee). Sprinkle in a tad bit of splenda, and you're golden. The best part is, you get the whole blender for under 200 calories, and a huge boost of protein! (You can throw in some fruit as well, but I usually just pair it with an apple.)

when I make a smoothie in the morning I add cooked oatmeal along with fruit and yogurt

For breakfast, I love Greenberry Shakeology, blended with half an apple or some frozen bluberries. This mix is sweetened with a dash of cinnamon, which is a great alternative to honey, like Barbara-Anne mentioned. It also has the refreshing addition of wheat grass!

I found that making any shake using a low sugar powder + fruit or veggies is equally tasty and filling using water rather than juice, milk, or yogurt, and I am not getting unnecessary calories or extra grams of protein. (Many powders have 15 to 23 grams of protein. I definitely don't need to add 8-12 more grams to my meal with soymilk or yogurt)

Also, my new love: Kitchen Aid immersion blender. It's so much quicker and easier to use than a blender. 5 second cleanup!!
