I have been using smoothies as a kickstart breakfast for a few months now. I picked up a bullet blender from a friend who was moving and I haven't looked back. I get a good two or three servings of fruit out of my smoothies, as well as added calcium and protein. Plus, it's a lot easier to make a smoothie than to wait for eggs or toast! One thing that I found helpful was to put my blender right next to the fruit bowl. I just pull out whatever I want, add my favorite juice and a single serving yogurt and blend it all up. It really cheers me up in the morning to know that a smoothie is only a few minutes away!

Motivator getting started. Place a sexy picture on your refrigerator. Also when get up in the morning put on gym cloths. Good luck see if it works.

Hello. I just joined this evening and am hypothyroid as well. I also have high blood pressure. I am hoping this website will be the encouragement I need in order to stay motivated. I haven't read everything hope to talk with some of you and maybe we can do it together (motivate each other).

Just starting today. I was wondering if anyone else has hyperthyroidism. Would love to discuss your diet with you. I like the idea of smoothies. I use blueberries,almond milk and I'm thinking of adding a powder protein but I haven't bought one yet, any suggestions for a good protein with low sugar. I also use Omega 3,6,9, 1000 mg every day.
I think it will be fun to have a support group going through this. I look forward to talking to you soon.

just beginning today. my smoothie is frozen raspberries/blackberries/fresh strawberries-
a cup of two fruits daily, wheatgrass, msm, flaxseed and safflower oils - a teaspoon of each, and a sachet of sweet and low; a little water or soya milk.

I'm not sure how to make myself how to follow the diet. I can make myself do the workouts well atleast for now, but the diet is my mortal enemy.

My favorite smoothie is made with 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries, half a banana, a cup of ice, some water and two tablespoons of ground flax. This is enough for about three cups. Its a good way to get flax.

I hear ya i want to loose weigtt so bad but the more i want to get up and get motivated the more i eat. I am a stress eater and my stress has been out of this world i need to learn to get out and walk in stressful times.
