Smoothies are a regular part of my diet. I make pitchers full and sip on them for 2-3 days at a time. They are a great meal replacement, much better than the meal replacement drinks you buy from the store, and when making them at home, you can make them more healthy.

I make my smoothies. ice, water, fresh fruit, and ISOPURE you can buy it at GNC any where. The reason I use this product is because it's high in Protein and all of the vitamins and minerals. and it is very GOOD. IT sounds like I work for these people but I don't. My oldest daughter told me about this product. Happytwins.

I've been drinking smoothies every day now since my sister got me a Magic Bullet for my birthday. Instead of hauling out the blender and going through that ordeal, I can make a single serving in the mug that comes with it--super convenient and easy clean up. With all the good fruit in season now, I'm loving it. I always add a heaping tablespoon of ground flax, oat bran and wheat germ along with soy yogurt and some OJ. It keeps me filled up all morning.

l like using Almond Milk in my smoothie. Tastes great. I also put in some herbal fiberblend..it thickens right up and makes you feel full.

Another tip - to thicken smoothies and get a good dose of fiber is to add a handful of bran cereal. There are so many creative ways to benefit from smoothies and get great nutrition. I love mine with rice milk, fruit, walnuts, flax oil, and bran.

I love fruit smoothies. They're always a good way to start your morning or lunch. I have them in the morning about 3 or 4 times a week.

i think i might try drinking one fruit smoothie in the morning and a veggie smoothie in the afternoon that way, i could have my daily serrving of fruit and veggies at one time. i will keep you all posted about the outcome. i hope its a good one!!!!!

I stumbled on smoothies - or the fact that I could make them myself - in the middle of this year when I ate a particularly acidic mango that ste my teeth on edge for almost a week. I panicked because I couldn't chew anything properly and I couldn't eat anymore fruit. One day I decided to blend the whole thing and drink it. It took a while but now my whole family loves it. We prefer fruit and fruit juice based ones, so my question is how many calories does an average 250ml glass of frozen fruit blended with 100% fruit juice have?

Stevia is another way to sweeten your smoothies. It is actually good for you and can be found at a Co-op or Feel-Rite Health Center. You can even grow it in your garden. It is very sweet, ----sweeter than sugar and it is good for you.

The livingfoodsinstitute.com in Georgia is all about detoxifying your body and cleaning out your colon. This is done with greens, sprouts, nuts, fermented foods, a small amount of fruits since these feed the cancer cells. Raw, uncooked vegetables and greens nourish your cells and are living foods vs. Dead Foods which are cooked and usually animal and dairy. Processed Foods have alot of garbage in them and are not good for your body. Whole Foods and uncooked if possible is the way to go.

Green smoothies are simple about 2 min in the blender. These give tons of energy and builds up the immunities in the cells. Immunities fight off infections and the body heals intself or at least improves the conditions. If you wants tons of energy throughout the day and a clean colon-----DRINK GREEN SMOOTHIES. Here is one recipe: 2 bananas, 2 cups water, 2 slices fresh ginger, 2 icecubes, honey to taste, cinnomen to taste. Puree all this and then add fresh baby spinach leaves 3/4 of blender pitcher. Puree again till spinach greens are broken down. Drink up. Store rest in covered jar and carry with you. whenever you need a shot of energy, shake the smoothie and drink up. Lasts 1-2 days.

Is there any way to make a Smoothie and not use Yogurt. Absolutely cannot stand the taste of yogurt, to me it is disgusting. Any suggestions?
