This is ancient! I think Sparkpeople.com should consider that their old articles should be put in the archives instead of being posted repeatedly. This is in the banner of articles for today in 2017. This article was written 11 years ago!!! This is happening more and more often now that Sparkpeople is aging. This is a good example of not only old news, bit now incorrect news because the world changes with time, of course. Now the fact is the average American eats 42 teaspoons of sugar a day, which is about 10 teaspoons and about 30% more than this article reports. That means this article is not only old news, but is now misinformation.
