After years of salads, wehate salads, those same old greens are sickening to see, plus cucumbers also are disagreeable. We put olives in a bowl, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes and the like. Also hate celery. Usually no dressing. But no more greens which once chewed only amount to a few tablespoons of food anyway.

I agree. Eating salad or soup at the start of the meal can fill you up...knowing how to stop when full is another issue
