I have heard ALA is better for skin , hair and nails and that DHA and EPA are more important for brain and heart health.

It also helps to alleviate dry eye and to control recurrent corneal erosions. Try TheraTears Nutrition capsules. They are amazing. (And trust me, if ALL they do is alleviate dry eyes and RCE, I'm a happy camper.)

Great information! I've been adding flaxseed to my yogurt and other breakfast items in the morning.

I get bulk flax seed, grind it in a coffee grinder and store it in the freezer. Then I add a TBSP to my oatmeal in the morning.

Canned fish is great, especially if it's only you that eats it! I enjoy sardines and salmon that way, and the canned herring filet, quick meal with veggies. Flaxmeal is cheaper now, the seeds go right through you so don't waste money on them, buy the flaxmeal, easy to add.

I do add ground flaxseed to my breakfast from time to time and I have recently purchased hemp seed and have been adding that to my salads and just having a small spoonful while topping my salad with it. I should try to add more flaxseed to my diet.
I do try to have salmon at least twice a week, but have never tried sardines. I will have canned albacore tuna and tuna steaks every once in a while as well. The only seafood that we can get around here is frozen, and they don't seem to carry halibut or mackerel nor have I ever seen to tried herring. There aren't a lot of different options carried in our local market so I only have access to frozen or canned salmon and tuna.
Thanks for the wonderful information
