NOT your traditional fish stew - but a quick and easy version that is loaded with protein, is low-cal, and almost no fat! Add as many different types of seafood as you wish - this is just a guideline (a yummy one)Submitted by DIANASGRL
Fine dining without the health or financial guilt. I put this together to satisfy the steakhouse craving, delivering all the flavor without the excessive fat. This is my first remake of our traditional Sunday night dinner - Eggs Benedict. I've started here by substituting extra light cream cheese for the cream. It worked great and tasted even better than with cream. Next week I'll try replacing the butter with a lighter spread to bring down the calorie count even more!Submitted by NOMEDEPLUME
"The quick coq au vin is a streamlined twist on the labor-intensive French classic. Instead of the chicken being browned in bacon fat and then braised in broth, Cognac, and wine while onions and mushrooms are cooked separately and the liquid then thickened, our skillet version takes just 45 minutes from start to finish. What's more, it captures all the savory richness of the original."
This baked egg dish is super simple, tasty, and a throwback to classic French cooking. Adding two egg whites to substitute for a whole egg lightens the calories, and lots of fresh herbs plus some parmesan and fat free cream keeps it fresh, but still decadent.Submitted by MISSJMP
My husband has always had a sweet tooth and being on the SCD diet (he has UC), his options are often limited.
This is a delicious and versatile SCD friendly crepe. I added raspberries and honey to it to make it a decadent dessert!
You could also use it with savoury... ham and brie is my favourite.
