Time to Pick a Bone
You can make a good ham and bean soup using just cubes of ham alone, but to get the best flavor you should use a ham bone. You can get your ham bone from the butcher, since they will often give them away or sell them very cheaply, or you can use a leftover bone from a ham that you have served for dinner.
If you are making a ham for dinner, then any leftover ham can be used in the soup as well. In fact, the best ham and bean soup recipes use both ham bones as well as cubes of ham.
Perfect for lunch or a light dinner. This cauliflower soup is easy to prepare and is very healthy for you.

Submitted by KANNASTOYThis is one of my favorite soups! Slightly sweet with a kick! The chipotle en adobo peppers can be found at a regular grocery store where the authentic mexican ingredients are. They are in a can and only one pepper is plenty for this whole pot of soup.
Submitted by DANYA007This is a really easy way to make tasty chili that even vegetarians can eat. Only takes 40 minutes or so.

This is a fantastic way to sneak veggies into your kids. I HATE cauliflower and cabbage and I love this soup. Very little prep time, 4 ingredients, and <1 gm of fat.
This is my favorite slow cooker chicken taco soup recipe. Leaving out or going light on the optional cheese, sour cream, and chips make it a really healthy dish.

Submitted by CHEF_MEGDelicious chili that is a meal in itself! Can easily be prepared in a slow cooker. Serve with a salad and pita bread for a perfect dinner.
Submitted by HUDDLESKA thick and hearty soup that is creamy without all the cream!!
Submitted by APESTEWThis soup is so simple, with the main ingredient being only carrots, and no potatoes or cream to thicken it. I'm sure there are many directions in which the flavors could travel, but I prefer to make it with a predominantly Indian taste. Feel free to adjust the spicy-level as necessary. I like it with a moderate to intense heat, but you can add more or less cayenne and crushed red pepper to suit your own taste. The final product should be smooth and evenly blended, so you will need some kind of food processing device to get it right.
