This is the simplest of soups, but delicious and nutritious. We always dribble in red wine vinegar in our bowls at the table - it adds so much to the flavor!
If you use a pressure cooker, you can have soup in 20 minutes.
This is super quick & easy to make. It's a touch on the spicy side. The aroma is fantastic. To make this a vegetarian dish use vegetable stock in place of the chicken stock.
this recipe came from my GT EXPRESS 101 cookbook, and I love it!! but i wanted to make it healthier, and also offer a way to cook it even if you don't have a GT EXPRESS machine. makes a good side dish or easy main meal. you can use corn chowder without chicken for vegetarian prep. omitting the topping reduces fat and calories even further.
a nice, thick, satisfying pea soup made with root vegetables. Perfect for a cold fall evening!
In NL, this soup would be made with salted beef (salt meat), but i omitted this ingredient from the recipe because most of you won't be able to buy it! You can substitute cured ham for salt meat, but it's not the same!
Used in the 6 day Detox Drop from the Food Lover Fat Loss Plan. It's delicious. There's a lot of chopping and prep work, but the end result is worth it.
I love Alton Brown and the fact that he created a guilt free version of one of my favorite dressings, without anchovies (SCORE!) made me very excited. The recipe said it yielded 1 cup of dressing, so figured a 2 TBSP serving size would be reasonable.
Canned broth leaves something to be desired. I used to buy a whole chicken, cut it up and make my own broths for soup. To save on time, I've developed this recipe using split chicken breasts and have cut the prep time a great deal while, still getting a rich and lovely flavorful broth.
