I add in ground almonds to my oatmeal to give extra protein. You certainly can omit this or try a different nut, chopped or ground. Any alterations will change the nutritional value of the recipe, however,
This muffin recipe uses pureed sweet potato to lessen the fat count and amps up the vitamin count as well. I use 1/2 whole wheat flour, but experiment with a different ratio if you'd like them all whole wheat. My family loves these muffins and is never the wiser. Try also with butternut squash or carrot puree.

This recipe is out of Chalene's Turbo Results Guidebook from Turbo Jam the only difference is I add some flaxseeds meal into it for some added fiber.
This makes a quick, very simple breakfast or snack. I make 1 or 2 dozen of these at once and freeze each frittata in its own Baggie. Whether I thaw one in advance or take right from the freezer, I microwave for 1 minute and eat with salsa or organic ketchup.
This is a nice little protein smoothie, but I do recommend having a small bit of carbs to give you the feeling of eating something instead of just drinking.
Simple sandwich that gets me going in the morning without anything I'm allergic to. Its higher in calories, but I'm a believer in more calories in the morning less at night.
Great combo with protein and carbs. Serve hot with some milk or substitue and your favorite sweetner (I use stevia). Or you can eat cold if you are on the run.
I love coffee with cream and sugar. Been trying a million ways to make it without cream or dairy...without success until now. I can't stand soymilk so that's not an option...but alas, with a cup of unsweetened chocolate almond milk, it's fabulous.

with the right texture and browning real hash browns won't be missed. just play and adjust amt used to your own liking, experiment, that how i came up with this.
