This is a dense cake traditionally eaten in a bowl with milk and sugar added. The extra milk and sugar are not figured into the nutritional information.
This stuff is OUT OF THIS WORLD! You can find the recipe in her "accidental country girl" recipe book :) Literally, I just about died when I found out how few calories it is compared to the portion size and the taste! SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
The recipe says it's 147 calories, sodium 84 mg, fat 14 gm, cholesterol 31 mg, carbs 5 gm, protein 3 gm.......
but we didn't have unsweetened chocolate so we used butter and cocoa powder instead. Original Recipe calls for 2 squares (2 oz) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled and .5 cup chopped pecans, but we left those out. Also added agave, and milk.
This recipe makes one big cookie to share with a small group. We have a family of 6, so we cut it evenly into 6 pieces once baked.
No crust so gluten-free; used palm sugar for lower glycemic effect.
