This is a popular drink called "Mugicha" in Japan. It is noted for cooling down the body in hot weather, for cleansing the system, treatment for hemorrhoids, inflammatory arthritis and breaks up congestion, phlegm and other symptoms of colds and flues.
It can be served hot or on ice.
Loaded with vitamins, this smoothie is great to keep your immune system healthy, and you feeling good during the sniffily-cold and flu months!

I"m addicted to Mocha Frappes and had to find some way to get that flavor without the 500 calories. This is pretty darn close. I'm still tweaking this. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

****Keep in mind this is a Lite Version. If you want to make it closer to real thing then replace 3/4 cup no calorie sweetner with 3/4 cup sugar for a total of 1 cup sugar.

Kefir is cultured milk. I'm not a big fan of it on its own, but I sometimes drink it with a drizzle of honey and it is downright delish in this smoothie! Great for breakfast, snack or dessert!
