I first had this dish at a local "Spirit Festival" and it was prepared to accomodate vegans. (I was not vegan at the time) It is slighly sweet and filling.
The only thing you spend time doing on this dish really is just cooking the lean ground beef or ground turkey. And all you have to do is just chop up the lettuce and 1 or 2 tomatoes. Everything else you just add in. This is a dip that has ground beef in it. Take that away and you have a vegetarian dish! Either way it's filling. You can make this a quick and easy dinner or you can have this for lunch. Don't forget the chips!

I used to eat these religiously in College. They're easy, tasty, and it's possible to make them in a toaster oven. You can alter the 'toppings' to suit your needs/tastes.
These are one of Andrew's favourite bagels when he buys them from Great Canadian - I figured I could give him the same benefit of carbo-loading, but made with love (and a touch of whole wheat flour too!).
