This is loosely based on a recipe I saw on Everyday Food on PBS - I changed lots of the ingredients, but the idea came from there
Goes great by itself, just the salmon and the veggies, or poured over rice.
Wraps, pitas, and 'flats' have about the same calories as low cal bread averaging 100cal/sandwich. The least caloric is a small (6") corn tortilla at 80cal. No wrapping happening there. 10" circles are wrappable, but 12" circles (burrito size) are easier. This makeover subs nori, which is the outside of sushi, or dried seaweed.
Made with some of the delicious goodies from week 1 of this summer's CSA program, this is high fiber, low fat, and delicious.
This nutty, crispy crust contains three kinds of flour rich in fiber and iron.
sub that fatty mayo or miracle whip with some fat free plain greek yogurt. toss the egg yolk too. Instead of the usual plain tuna, add some with a little extra flavor (I picked hickory smoked). Mustard gives it a little pizazz too :)
