This was a recipe I found in a weight watchers cook book and modified to a slow cooker recipe.
This is super easy to make and delicious! I took this recipe for a Healthy, Homestyle cooking cookbook. I always double the recipe, so the info listed here is for a double batch.
Kind of an invention. when I was a small child my mother used to serve slices of oranges seperated by small slices of onion and I loved it. So why not more fruit and onion. This is what I came up with and believe it or not I even like to add a little raw brocolli on occasion
I had this dressing at Pacific Rim by Kana. The combination of the complex, salty flavors goes beautifully with local fresh greens. Using a good quality low-sodium soy sauce or tamari would be beneficial here.

Vegetables the good way. A soup full of vegetables that even a vegetable hater will enjoy.

Soooo tasty! The somewhat unusual combination of split peas and brown rice (in lieu of the more traditional lentils and rice) in a hearty, main meal dish soup, lightly spiced with garlic and curry, should appeal to both vegetarians AND omnivores! If the curry is too strong feel free to omit; or, if you love the Indian flair it adds, use up to three teaspoons!

A simple, sweet barbecue sauce will please even finicky eaters. Make a big batch of this scrumptious stir-together barbecue sauce, refrigerate up to two weeks, and have an easy chicken dinner.
