One of my family's favorites. Not spicy. My 3yr old eats this up! To make it heartier add ham and green peppers. To make it spicy, add tobaso. I have made alterations to this recipe for what I have in my cubard, and it has been delicious every time with black eyed peas, pinto beans, and even keilbasa. Enjoy it your way!
Beans, ground beef, chili powder, jalapenos, etc. Tastes great with corn bread - and at 246 calories per cup, you might have calories left for a piece of corn bread! I usually eat mine with 1/6 of a prepared box of Jiffy corn bread. Also makes a great frozen lunch.

This is a Flank Steak slow cooked in a Crock Pot or if no Crock Pot, can be slow cooked in the oven. You can eat as is after cooking or shred it and use as a topping on a large salad, which is what I do.

Although I used kangaroo meat in this casserole because of the nutritive value, the calorie value and the low fat qualities, any meat, (lamb, beef etc) would work the same. However the nutritive value would need to be recalculated.
I have not made this personally, but I would like to soon. I found this claiming to be "Jon Gosselin's secret recipe" from a website. I don't think it is the same recipe, but it still sounds good!
