This fresh green bean recipe is fabulous! Fresh, crispy and tasty; great for summer!
Two weeks into the diet, I started craving something starchy so I started experimenting with radishes. Radish has the texture similar to jicama. Although this dish only uses 5-6 radishes, it is very filling, and curbs the craving for a "potato'ey" texture and taste, while being extremely low in carbs.
This is a refreshing side dish that is tart, sweet and crisp at the same time.
Grissini is part of the starch requirement and my craving fix for the HCG diet. :p 1 Grissino per meal at a maximum of 2 a day. Sadly, no munching on 2 at a time as they need to be spaced out through the day. Making your own sure beats wondering if there's hidden ingredients or preservatives in it plus you can be as exotic as you like. Get creative with flavour!! It might seem like a lot of work but you really will be rewarded, twice a day in fact! :)
