A filling breakfast or post-workout recovery drink, this protein-packed smoothie tastes just like strawberry cheesecake! You can also substitute any other fruit for the strawberries, or add half the strawberries and half a different kind of fruit. (We love the classic strawberry banana combo!)Submitted by OILPAINTER

If you add splenda, pumpkin pie spice, a bit of low calorie apple sauce for some added moisture and extra baking powder, this is a wonderful breakfast choice. Comes out fluffier and softer.

Falafel is one my favorite foods, but most places tend to fry it on oil. However, I came across this raw falafel recipe which you can serve moist or dehydrated. Serve in lettuce leaves with cucumbers and tomatoes with a drizzle of your favorite sauce.Submitted by MONA_MONA
Low fat cheeses and 1/2 the oil can be used for this recipe, the nutritional values are based on full fat versions, since I was unable to find the matches for low fat varieties

This is a veggie/vegan burrito. The original recipe called for using a whole pound of vegan cheese, but i cut that in half. if you use more than 1/4 cup of cheese on each burrito, then you will need to adjust for the calories. With using the whole pound of cheese, each burrito would be about 601 calories.Submitted by SANDRAMONROE
A departure from standard pasta with tomato sauce- Neufchatel Cheese is used in place of cream cheese and the nutmeg and crushed red pepper flakes give it a unique flavor! A great new way to "eat your spinach"!
Ziti or Penne pasta can be used.Submitted by SHAWNA718
You've decided to make some hummus or goddess dressing, only to find you're out of tahini. Rats!
Making your own tahini is very easy. You control the oil and ingredients. Just keep sesame seeds in your freezer, and you'll be good to go at a moment's notice.Submitted by BLUEKARMA
I got the idea for this recipe from the Hungry Girl 200 reciepes for under 200 cal cookbook, just substituting chicken for tilapia. It was soooo good and takes care of the BBQ and sweet cravings in one shot. My kids even loved it. Hey, it got a picky three year old to eat...Submitted by DANWERNECKE
This is a wonderfully high protein alternative for vegans and vegetarians. It is very versatile as it can be cooked in casseroles and curries or cut into cutlets and BBQ'd or simply sliced thinly as a sandwich filling.
It's seriously yum!Submitted by TREEHUGGER73
