My rendition of classic chicken cacciatore, designed for us bariatric patients and people who want a more reasonable dish. Yes, there is olive oil in it, but its a healthier oil and the flavor that it brings to the dish cant be duplicated otherwise. Enjoy!Submitted by CD6109776
Original recipe calls for regular breakfast sausage, such as Jimmy Dean. But I found this substitute to taste just as good and much less fat and healthier. A great grab and go breakfast. Make ahead and wrap individually in the refridge, micro for 30 seconds on high and go!!Submitted by PUSHWAIT
This recipe was a finalist in the SparkPeople Un-Chained Recipe Contest!
I chose to re-make the Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell because Taco Bell used to be one of my favorite fast food restaurants. Also, it is still my boyfriend's favorite fast food chain and nearly every time he goes there, he will order a crunchwrap supreme.
The funny thing is that most Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes are fairly simple to make... so I knew that it would be fun, delicious, and not too challenging to re-make this item!Submitted by THENEXTJESS
I love Chili's Southwestern Eggrolls. They have so much tasty stuff in them, but I hate the fact they are deep fried. I added more beans and corn and then put them in the broiler for crunch.
These are great made ahead of time and *frozen for a quick meal or a fun snack for the big game. I make a double batch so I can freeze some for later.Submitted by RONDARC
Oh, Quesadilla Explosion Salad! How I love you!
I have eaten plenty of these at Chili's and was "Oh so surprised!" to see it listed as #2 on the 10 worst restaurant salads! Number T-O-O! Too much fat, Too many calories, Too many points!
It's a salad! How can it be so bad for you?
Something had to be done! This is my response. I have also created recipes for the various ingredients used in this salad. They are named as they appear in the list of ingredients. Feel free to use them or your own. Beware the nutrition data of this salad will change if you use another version. Submitted by LILDVA
My Gramma Willie taught me how to make this sauce years ago. It's the only way I make Alfredo now (though I use unsweetened soy milk instead of skim milk). Serve with grilled chicken, broccoli and pasta. Submitted by STEPFANIER
