Tanya's Low-Carb Cookbook

I've been eating low-carb since 6/12/09. As of 11/21/09 I've lost 41 lbs. I just came across this section of the website today and was delighted to find low-carb recipes for many of the things I've been craving. I can hardly wait to try the baked turnip fries and the cauli-taters!

Yes, I did just use the terms high protein, low carb, low fat, CHOCOLATE, and brownie in a recipe title... this isn't a lie folks, it's a tried and true concoction that is sure to knock your socks off! I bet you thought you'd never hear healthy and heavenly words combined in the same sentence, let alone, recipe! But here we have it... a brownie that is so good for you, and unbelievelably good to eat!
AND... it's a single serve recipe (so no temptations... even the best of foods should be eaten in moderation), takes but a minute to prepare, and an even shorter amount of time to make (plus it's microwavable!).
So enjoy this miraculouse, devine, and oh so delicous treat! I know that I have. Happy healthy eating!Submitted by JULZDANCERUNS
I came up with this simple, sweet, breakfast option because I couldn't face eggs every morning for breakfast. The cinnamon and splenda give the cottage cheese a wonderful, sweet flavor, and the chopped almonds give it a satisfying crunch.Submitted by NURSEHOPE
A quick and tasty low calorie meal.
These are so moist and chocolatey I can't believe they are so healthy. They are a very filling and a great low carb treat.
I buy pre-ground flax meal, but you can grind your own.
I grind my almonds in a blender by putting only a small handful in at a time and pulsing the blender. Don't run continuously or you'll have almond butter. You can also buy pre-ground almonds.Submitted by JOEKNEE
serve as a snack anytime or use in place of crackers for dipping or for topping with your favorite cheese! They will stay fresh and crispy for 1 to 2 da if you store them in an airtight container.Submitted by GRANMAW49
