Low Carb Locavore
304 Recipes Created by EUPHRATES
I am collecting recipes that combine whole grains, fresh produce and organic meat, eggs and milk products into healthy low-carb meals. No "franken-foods" need apply - I want to choose only foods that are naturally low fat, low in sugar yet packed with nutritional benefits.

Cookbook creator says: Hmmmm, thinking of ways to make garlic-style instead of hot sauce (since I'm not a huge "hot sauce" fan). Bet my mate will love these, though!
This was inspired by a need to cook the chicken quickly while keeping the flavor and tenderness. The flavors I used are some of my family's favoites, and I thought they would hold up well on a grill. Submitted by ILYAHNA
Cookbook creator says: Sounds like an awesome sandwich filling - I want to try it with some good hearty whole wheat bread, or something whole grain. Might even make a good topping for a whole grain english muffin, broiled maybe...mmmm, all sorts of ideas. :)Submitted by MOMOF_3JS
This recipe is for 3 loaves of bread, 2 for the week and one to freeze. It is meant to be made with a stand mixer, but you don't need one. This has more good fat and fiber than most recipes.
This recipe is best for sandwiches, toast, french toast, dinner rolls, and sub rolls (adjust sizes).
This bread is dense, filling and good for you! You can add some wheat gluten to make it rise a little more and make it a little less dense.Submitted by WOMAN15R
Yummy chicken, broccoli, onions, and mushrooms with a savory honey dijon sauce....atop natural whole grain rice! A delicious, easy and low budget meal, ANYTIME!
Tips: You can use honey mustard to substitute the honey and the dijon mustard, still tastes great! The rice calls for butter, but I skipped out on that! If you use natural cooking spray, you don't have to worry about calories hiding in there as well. My family enjoyed it, even my one year old son! I hope you enjoy it! Very simple and very yummy!

This is a great summer pasta salad. You can use any combo of veggies.
I added baby corn to the recipe and used a combination of fresh herbs from my herb garden. (salad in photo)Submitted by HEALTHYCOCONUT
