I am trying to limit calories to 1700 a day, and limit sodium intake to 3000 mg a day, as well as exercise to lose weight and reduce my blood pressure, but I'm the type that likes to cook from scratch, and I like eating things that are as tasty as you'd find in a restaurant , without the high price.

If you are cooking for someone on a low sodium diet, use this recipe instead of taco seasoning. This recipe is the equivelant to one package of taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons.) Adjust the strength of any ingredient to your taste.Submitted by APRILDAWN678
These are great for a quick nutritious breakfast or snack. The bulgar wheat with soy if very high in protein and fiber, so use it if you can, otherwise substitute more of the 7 grain cereal instead. Add chopped walnuts, and ice with buttercream or cream cheese icing if you don't have to worry about the calories. No icing for me, LOL.Submitted by THRIFTEE
