If you are cooking for someone on a low sodium diet, use this recipe instead of taco seasoning. This recipe is the equivelant to one package of taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons.) Adjust the strength of any ingredient to your taste.Submitted by APRILDAWN678
Delicious sauce for anything from chicken to salmon to rice or just as a dip for brad or veggies-
It disappears faster than you can serve it.
Use 1 large seedless cucumber with the peel if you can or 1 1/2 regular cucumbers peeled if you don't have seedless. Salt and pepper are always to taste, and the olive oil is optional but gives the sauce a bit of richness that is pretty good.
This sauce doesn't usually call for onion, but, I like it. Submitted by NYFASHIONQUEEN
Adds protein and nutrients to your salad without adding a lot of fat! Only about 16 calories per 2 tbsp serving, compared to 30-50 for store bought fat free ranch dressing. And at least 4x more protein.Submitted by CUTHAILJET
Modified from the Joy of Cooking. Easy to make. Great for a tailgate. Always gets rave reviews! Keep chilled over ice. I usually serve with veggies (cucumber slices, baby carrots, etc.) and Ruffles Light. One serving = 1/4 cupSubmitted by MARIELLE228
I got this list of dry ingredients off of Allrecipies.com and reduced the amount of salt then used an Italian Dressing from here that called for Good Seasons but much less oil. These dry ingredients will make many batches of this dressing. The calculations are as if the total amount of the dry ingredients were used. I could not figure how to do it otherwise.Submitted by WINEFRED
