North Indian Flat bread; also called Chapatti.
Made from very fine whole wheat flour found in Indian stores. Used for gravy foods. Some recipes call for milk or yogurt (said to make the bread softer) and oil but these are not necessary and only add calories and fat to the nutritional value. This is a delicious Indian recipe, that I got from the director of the movie "Bend it Like Beckam". At the end of the DVD, the director prepares this dish along with her mother, and aunt. Submitted by CORNWALLCATE
Adapted from www.food-india.com. To lower the fat content, substitute tofu for paneer. Serve over brown rice--I have factored in 1/2 cup for each serving, which always leaves me stuffed. This recipe doubles nicely for some leftovers!Submitted by JACKSINBOXES
This is like Tabouli, with extra-nutritious add-ins like edamame, dried cranberries, and almonds. Lots of superfoods here!
Serving size is 1 cup for a main dish, 1/2 cup for a side dish. The calorie count is for a heaping 1/2-cup serving (about 100 grams).

A store near my daughter's house in California has peanut butter granola in the bulk food section. But I couldn't find it anywhere near my house in Illinois, so I found this recipe online and made my own. Now I'm glad I couldn't find it at the store. It's cheaper and I can control the ingredients that are used.Submitted by SRWOODSY
