Recipe adapted from one on WholeFoods website. A steaming bowl of this is said to bring good luck for the coming year, but you don't have to serve it only on your New Year's menu. Liquid smoke and vegetables add depth of flavor to simple black-eyed peas and rice.Submitted by HEATHER_NSG
* With a few ripe bananas in your freezer, you can always create a quick breakfast smoothie.
* Simply peel bananas, place them in plastic bags, and store in the freezer. They will last for several weeks, depending on your freezer's temperature.
* To make your smoothie extra creamy and give it a healthy protein boost, try adding a little powdered soymilk or protein powder prior to blending.

Cookbook creator says: I've made it with soymilk instead of regular, and I also add chopped onion and celery to mine. One small to medium onion and one stalk of celery. This makes it MUCH better than the original version which is still good as it stands.Submitted by KIRBYASHLEY
I have always loved falafels, but was always concerned that pan frying was so high in fat. Not only was it unhealthy, but I hated the mess of all the oil. When baked, these falafels are extremely healthy and tasty!!
