Honestly......I learned to make chicken-n-dumplings from scratch from my grandfather. I don't think anything can really beat them with all the butter, cream, and home-made egg dumplings. BUT....this version is a good attempt and it's also much faster and more healthy. Therefore it makes them a weeknight friendly meal. The kids also love it.Submitted by MRSDUDLEY
I saw this on Barefoot Contessa (Food Network) and I just had to make it. I lightened it up a tad bit by not using as much pasta, chicken or breadcrumbs.
