These moist pancakes are lightly spiced for the palate of my young child. If you like a bit more pizzazz, you can increase the spices or add others. Cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice both work nicely here.Submitted by CD1086014
Instead of a whole pie, try making bite-size tarts. The diminutive desserts cook quicker and are automatically portion controlled. Plus, they're easier to make for a crowd, and there's no need for a fork and plate.

Two secret ingredients keep this butter-less chocolate cake moist and nutritious.
Soda bread is simple to make. It does not need to rise and it takes less than 5 minutes to knead. This soda bread recipe came from County Cork in Ireland by way of my great grandfather’s cousin. Submitted by SAMANTHA_SP
These carrot muffins are made with applesauce instead of oil to help retain their moisture while lowering the fat content. Studded with pineapple and raisins, they would make a sweet treat for breakfast or an on-the-go snack.Submitted by AFRICAPARISH
Make these rolls at night and pop them in the microwave (about 20 seconds) or toaster oven (on low) until warm. Pair them with a banana or apple, a peeled hard-boiled egg, and a cup of milk, and breakfast is ready to go in two minutes flat! Submitted by CHEF_MEG
Matcha is green tea powder you can find in health food stores. I put sweetened Adzuki beans on mine before putting them in the oven but you could use walnuts.
If you want to try the beans, just take some canned Adzuki, enough to sprinkle a few on each muffin, add 2 tbsp water and 2 tbsp of sugar, bring to a boil, then let sit for 15 minutes so that the beans soak up the sugar. These beans are popular in Japan and often used as a paste in desserts.Submitted by LLLLLLIN
