This is a delicious way to start the day. It's packed with good health, great nutrition and warms you to the core! I use a very clean whey protein, but you can use whatever works for you.
There are many variations on this recipe, but this is a tried and true favorite of mine. Combining the oat bran and oatmeal makes for a wonderful textured porridge. The egg whites make it very creamy, pump up the protein, and don't affect the flavor...just makes it creamy.
Cook's note: I use old-fashioned oats...the instant and packets have too much sugar. I am sure you could use whatever you like - this is a personal choice for me. Also, I make in the microwave, but you can certainly prepare this on the stove or a campfire if you choose.

Using low-fat yogurt makes this classic salad healthier than other recipes.
These healthy breakfast bars provide a respectable level of protein and fiber without a ton of calories. Best of all, they can be eaten on the run. Reconfigure the "additions" to suit your fancy.... or replace the Splenda with another sweetener if you're trying to stay "au natural." This is a base recipe that can be tweaked to your taste!Submitted by TUESDAYS
Using a slow cooker makes this recipe as easy as it is tasty!
This is a recipe that I have been experimenting with and tweaking for years. Always a family favorite and they didn't even notice the difference when I re-invented it using low fat ingredients and turkey instead of beef.
The best thing about this meal is how much fun you can have making it. Since it is more of a "stew" I have added all kinds of different vegetables and sometimes even put left over pot roast in with it. Have fun and be creative!
Halloween - Autumn Variation: Make this recipe just as described below but remove the potatoes and add one can (15oz) of pumpkin puree or 2 cups fresh pumpkin peeled and cubed, 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice and 3 Tbls. of brown sugar! Submitted by ARIZUMA
