This is the Dutch West Indian version of the classic Indonesian saté. Boka means "mouth" and dushi means "sweet" in Papamiento, the musical dialect that blends Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and West African languages. Kejap manis, the ancestor of modern ketchup, is a thick, sweet soy sauce; you can substitute equal parts soy sauce and molasses. Sambal ulek is a fiery paste made of red peppers. Look for both in Asian markets.Submitted by AMANDAYAGI
A slightly modified, but rather Authentic Indian recipe. My wife and I love Indian food, especially vindaloos. Now that we are dieting, I have scaled down our favorite "red" Vindaloo recipe. This Vindaloo has a nice combination between the tomato sauce and the mustard, with just enough heat.Submitted by GFERBER
This recipe is part of "The SparkPeople Cookbook." Order your copy today! This salad is even better the longer it sits in the fridge, so we love to make a big batch of it and eat it throughout the week.

Vindaloo is one of my favorite dishes in the world! This spicy Indian curry can be made vegetarian or with meat and is packed with spices. For those new to Indian cooking, I simplified the spice list, choosing five you might already have on hand.Submitted by CHEF_MEG
