This sauce recipe was based on a Jo Mama's World Famous Spaghetti sauce recipe that I modified for taste. When I make this sauce, it quickly disappears in my house. Everyone seems to loves this sauce.

To use in place of canned cream soups in casseroles or as a base for
your own soups. It is much lower in fat and salt than the canned versions. The trick is to have it made up ready to use.

Use canned tomatoes (stewed, diced, whole, whatever is cheap) to add chunkiness to sauce.
No-salt-added tomato sauce and tomatoes reduces the sodium content.
Drain the sauted onions and peppers and browned meat to reduce the fat content (I record meat as lower fat than actual to account for removed fat)Submitted by JBINAUSTIN
