Two secret ingredients keep this butter-less chocolate cake moist and nutritious.
I needed a fast and easy after school cookie for the kids so experimented. Not only did the kids adore it, it has won an award and I am constantly asked for the recipe!Submitted by VMOMX3
This is pure heaven for chocoholics! This is a very rich dense cake for those watching their carbs, you will feel like you are cheating. Watch out though this is very rich, you can cut it into smaller pieces.Submitted by BPRWATSON
My mom was diagnosed with celiac disease about 8 years ago. We have looked everywhere for delicious recipes that substitute other products for gluten. i was fortunate to come upon this wonderful recipe, which uses only 2 unusual ingredients: GF flour and Xanthan Gum. Even though I CAN eat gluten, I still very much enjoy this delicious banana bread. It is best hot from the oven!
It is super moist, bursting with flavor, and you would never know it was GLUTEN FREE :)))
Plus, it is very low in saturated fat and high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat. It is fairly low carb for a banana bread and it also has 1 gram of sugar PER slice....and they are generous servings!Submitted by FITFORLIFE22
The Surprise is that these cupcakes have no butter or oil in them, less sugar and less flour, but do use zucchini, and have a hidden spoon of strawberry jam!
If made using rice flour they are also wheat free.Submitted by WAHZOE
These are a wonderful, classic Italian crunchy cookie, that is great for anyone who is gluten- or wheat-free! As these sit, they get crunchy throughout. Delicious with any fruit dessert, paired with an ice cream sundae, or on their own with a strong espresso!Submitted by JO_JO_BA
I am a stay at home mom with three children. Two of them and my husband have different food allergies and intolerances. This can make cooking a challenge. I love to do experimental cooking and incorporate extra protein like beans in because my oldest doesn't like meat. I hope you enjoy this deliciously dark chocolate cake as much as we do.Submitted by PRZYBYCW
I made this recipe up when I wasn't in the mood for chocolate pudding. This is a very mild flavored vanilla pudding, so if you desire more potent vanilla flavor increase the ammount of vanilla extract you add.Submitted by FLUFFYDOGLOVER
Provide quick energy whenever you're running out of steam, or after a hard workout when you need a quick fix for your blood sugar. They are NOT low-cal, they are intended as a snack to tend you over when you don't have time to prepare something. Full of fiber and healthy fats they do the trick.Submitted by BINEMELLES
I have modified this recipe from the original found at www.landolakes.com, to make it also casein-free. if you don't have to worry about dairy or casein in your diet, you can go ahead and use 3/4 cup real butter. I also reduced the amount of chocolate chips from 2 cups to 1 1/4 cups because that's all I had on hand when I made them.
Also, I successfully used Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Baking Flour instead of making the separate GF Blend as recommended by Land O Lakes (see "cooking instructions" below for their GF blend recipe).
Nutrition Facts Discrepancies: My recipe program calculates the nutrition as 257 calories per cookie. the landolakes website lists calories at 130 g per cookie (See all their nutrition facts under "cooking instructions" below). And of course SparkPeople calculates the calories as 262.2 per cookie. So, take the nutrition facts with a grain of salt, or calculate it yourself to get a number you are comfortable with.Submitted by SCHELRY
