I find that my roast turns out so much better in the pressure cooker than my crock pot. Maybe I've been using the wrong recipe for the crock pot but I love to use this for my roast. My young 4 boys love to eat this too!Submitted by CHICKS1123

I didn't soak the beans beforehand; I just rinsed them and picked out the oddballs then put them into water (enough to cover by an inch) and boiled them hard for 10 minutes. Then I drained them and proceeded with the recipe. The time to prep and cook may seem long, but it's short for getting dried beans on the table, and most of the cook time is unattended.Submitted by PAPRIKAPINK

I made this for my husband when he was on a low iodine diet. It was a big hit....will definitely make it again.I served this over rice (not included in nutritional info).
Cook time includes 15 minutes of active cooking to make the sauce and brown the meat + 55 minutes pressure cooker and 5 min pressure release. I think this would also come out well if made in a crock pot.Submitted by KNITTINGJENNI
