This is based on an allrecipes.com recipe, but both gluten and dairy free. First recipe we've tried since I went gluten free that actually tastes like pancakes!
Based on a Splendid Table recipe, substituting what I had handy. Gluten free and cow milk free. Contains nuts and sheep cheese.
Recipe is extremely malleable. Originally had stale bread rather than rice, bacon rather than sausage, no nuts, heavy whipping cream, gouda cheese, scallions rather than onion, thyme rather than sage, no apple.
I needed a quick hot lunch so I made this from the ingredients at hand. I liked it enough that I would make it again. The Thai Chili tuna and the figlet add a little sweet and spicy to the dish. Would be good with plain tuna or chicken instead of the Thai Chili flavor, but I'd add some chili powder.
