Slow cooker recipe, pretty easy to put together. Be careful with the cloves.
After baking, bring to room temperature before storing into container/bag to put in the fridge or freezer.
The original recipe (Cooking Light March 2015) called for basil and pistachios, but I didn't have either on hand, and didn't particularly want them. I used mint instead of basil, and just opted not to add any nuts.
This is a great chili, that serves roughly 10 1-cup servings.
