Using "Low Sodium" ingredients allows you to control the salt.

Adding about a tablespoon of sugar helps mellow-out the acid in the vegetable juice.

Chicken and Sweet Potato Chowder

Low fat, filling soup. By using low sodium broth, stock and tomatoes, you can control the sodium content as well. Just season the vegetables as they are added to the pot and the entire dish should be seasoned properly by the end. Also add dried herbs to taste.
