In Bermuda, once spring times hits, you cannot drive anywhere without seeing local farmers selling fresh carrots along the side of the road. They have other vegetables available, but it's the carrots that truly stand out. Even when you go into the grocery store, where most of the items are now imported, you see only fresh local carrots (When certain vegetables are in season, the grocery stores are encouraged to buy those items from local farmers to support the local economy). This abundant supply of carrots prompted Shannon,my husband, to attempt to make his own carrot juice using our ninja blender and some paint strainer bags. I am so glad he came up with this idea, because it was better and probably more nutritious than any carrot juice I had ever tried! Please enjoy.
Sometimes having eggs for breakfast everyday can get a little boring, so today I decided to dress them up a bit in a beautiful crust less quiche. Not only is this Quiche low-calorie, it is also full of delicious vegetables & will prepare you for a healthy day.
Strawberries are my favorite fruit, however when it comes to strawberry flavored things, I find they taste artificial and really don't do the little red beauties any justice. This homemade strawberry sorbet recipe, however did not leave me or my husband disappointed and as it's a healthy summer treat I can't wit to share it with you.
