This recipe is adapted from the one found at SmittenKitchen.com. The original recipe called for 1 whole cup of vegetable oil. I have lightened up this recipe by replacing that with applesauce, as well as using egg beaters vs. real eggs. This saves a whole bunch of calories and fat, letting you enjoy this delicious bread without feeling guilty!
Who doesn't love those loaded cheese fries found at nearly every casual restaurant? The problem is those are loaded with fat and calories. This recipe is my take on this delicacy! You get all the same flavors, but without risking your waist line!
Chicken parmesan is one of my all time favorite dishes! Usually, the chicken is breaded and pan fried before being smothered in spaghetti sauce and ooey gooey cheese... in my recipe the chicken is simply baked without the breading to cut down on extra calories and fat without compromising the traditional Italian flavors!
