This dish brings good luck in the coming year, and has become a New Years Day tradition at our house.
My family likes it over rice, but I avoid the extra carbohydrates and calories, and eat it like a soup.
Nice vegetarian dish. The bread makes it satisfying and adds a nice texture.
There are several variations of this yummy salad/dessert on this website, but not the way I make it! Add a few teaspoons of Splenda, if you have a sweet tooth, or if you are making this for dessert.
I eat it for breakfast sometimes!
The name says salad, but we like it for dessert too.
