This is more of a thick glaze than a frosting. I love to drizzle this over my Carrot Cake Muffins when I am in need of a "dessert fix". Serving size is 1 teaspoon(0 Weight Watcher Points , but I count it as 1 to be safe), and it is plenty for my muffin. I realize some people will feel this is unhealthy, but I enjoy it in moderation and have lost 25 pounds so far without feeling deprived.
These moist, filling muffins are packed with fiber and great flavor at 1 Weight Watcher point per muffin. I love to have them with my coffee or as a quick snack. When I am dying and need a " dessert fix" for my sweet tooth, I drizzle them with 1 tsp. of my Marshmallow Glaze for a 2 point treat! They freeze well too.
This tastes just like the original Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, only without any fat and some protein added in. I also use it as a dip. A 2 Tablespoon serving is under 20 calories!
This bread is delicious sliced and toasted. While the original recipe calls for white flour and milk, I have been experimenting with King Arthur's white whole wheat flour and water to make it healthier, and it still tastes fantastic. Recipe makes 2 loaves of bread and I am able to get 15 slices from each loaf. I have found it keeps a long time if kept in the refrigerator. Freezes very well.
Panko Bread Crumbs add a wonderful crunchy coating to fish fillets that gives them a "deep fried" taste. Even fish haters like me love it and can learn to enjoy fish! ***NOTE: In light of the recent discussions about over fishing and the Spark article about "safe fish", I am removing the "Orange Roughy" from the title. I use Alaskan Halibut for my recipe now, but I leave the choice of fish up to each of you for yourselves. :-)
This is delicious as a side dish, or rolled into a tortilla as an entree itself. If you dont like spicy food, you can use the Mild Pace Picante Sauce. The cheese can also be omitted to reduce fat and calories, and it is just as good.
Each serving is 3/4c.
These are light and crispy, and pretty to look at! They are fairly sweet and do have sugar in them, and they take a bit of time to make, so they are meant to be eaten on OCCASION. I like to serve them topped with fresh berries in their own juice and a small dollop of cool/reddi whip(not included in calorie count) Perfect for special occasions!
I adapted this recipe from a "less healthy" version I saw in a magazine. This one has less saturated fat , and more protein and fiber than the original. Paired with a tossed salad, it makes a light, but filling meal.
This meatloaf makes 9 thick, filling slices. Sweet/spicy ketchup sauce basted and baked on in the last 10 minutes makes a nice glaze.
Kraft 2% singles and a few tablespoons of nonfat milk make boring cooked cauliflower seem decadent!
You wont believe how delicious and low calorie these large crabcakes are!
