I make a large batch of this and keep it in the fridge. It is flavorful, reheats well, and can be used in soft or crispy tacos.
Lean beef patties

This is a tasty dish that goes well with rice or pasta. My kids even love it. We serve this with a side of orzo pasta.
Prep time includes time to slice vegetables and sausage. Add other vegetables as desired.
This is a modified recipe. The original recipe calls for water, not chicken broth, and adds a teaspoon of salt, which I omit. Add other seasonings if desired. I often add black pepper and garlic powder to give it a little more flavor.
Note: The sodium content stated in the nutrional facts is not accurate given the fact that the beans are drained and rinsed before cooking.
