Makes 8 servings of 2 shells each plus sauce.
Makes 4, half litre (500ml) or 1 pint jars
Standard quiche variation. Evapourated milk can be substituted for the heavy cream and full fat milk if desired.
Serve over ice with a few mint leaves.
Low effort and comforting. You can eat this all on it's own or toss with a bit of pasta. Leftovers are even better.
Quick and delicious summer lunch or dinner.
Quick to make and fairly low in sugar, this compote is delicious as a sauce to top desserts or used as a jam.
Healthier, easy to prepare version of the packaged meal.
Easy one-pan dinner.
Luscious yet light tasting dessert. Perfect for a summer dinner party or for a lighter dessert after a heavy dinner.
Quick and flavourful way to zip up plain chicken breasts.
For a refreshing, low cal change from water. Serve over ice.
I've added double the mushrooms and lemon juice/zest, a little extra olive oil (to balance the flavour) and use half the amount of pasta. I also save myself the time and purchase pre-sliced cremini mushrooms. The recipe still makes a huge amount.
Easy way to up the flavour without adding any fat.
Great for breakfast
Lightly sauted broccolini sauted with garlic and chicken broth for a flavour kick.
2 mini quiches = 1 serving
Tasty over black rice.
Black rice is a very long-cooking rice, so it's best to set it to soak in the vegetable broth the morning you are planning to cook it for dinner, or even the night before. If you pre-soak, it takes about 30 minutes to cook. From dry, it takes 50-60 minutes.
Light yet filling. Perfect dinner for a warm summer evening. Add a salad or piece of good whole-grain bread if you are a big eater, but I find this plenty on it's own.
A twist on the traditional brocolli salad made with a British favourite, Heinz Salad Cream, instead of mayo or Miracle Whip
Yummy, lighter than usual chowder-like potato soup.
Made with just a little bit of sugar (to mascerate the mint with) and stevia powder, this is a healthier version of refreshing lemonaide for a hot summer day.
Quick easy and delicious. Don't be fooled or turned away by the anchovy, it melts into the butter & oil and gives this dish a slightly salty/nutty backnote.
Easiest ever white bread recipe!
Easy, no knead bread recipe. Takes 5 minutes to stir together, 18 hours for 'starter' to rise, dump into a loaf pan, let rise for an hour and bake. So simple, but absolutely delicious!
I have never served this and not been asked for the recipe. It's so simple but absolutely delicious. Can also be made with white rice but fibre, calories and cooking time will need to be adjusted.
