I wanted a low fat tartar sauce to go with the lowfat fish sticks I feed my kids. So I created this recipe based on what I had on hand and other recipes.
A great crispy and fluffy low-fat waffle - high in protein and fiber, with whole grains and fruit. Great for the whole family!
This is a delicious waffle that is crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. It tastes a little like sourdough because of the yeast and yogurt. The batter must be made 10 to 24 hours in advance.
Each serving is four pancakes. I developed this recipe over time for my children. We make these every Sunday morning and they are my favorite pancakes now. I make up batches of the dry ingredients and keep them in ziplock bags.
I make room in my diet for the fat and calories of this salad. The fats are mostly good fats from the nuts, and oils. The mixing flavors of the gorgonzola, vinagrette, and candied pecans are incredible.
This is a delicious recipe that is full of great flavors, healthy, and high in protein.
I developed this recipe because my kids and I both love smoothies, and I wanted one that didn't have as much sugar and fat as some of the ones in the shops.
I fell in love with the Kashi Coco Beach granola last year, but no one is carrying it where I live anymore. It was also pretty expensive for a small package, and had 9 grams of fat per 1/2 cup serving. So this recipe is my attempt to recreate a yummy chocolate coconut granola and knock down some of the fat at the same time. The calories in this version are just below the original (224 vs. 230), but the fat was reduced from 9g to 3g without losing any of the protein (both have 6g of protein)!
A delicious and low fat quiche that's very high in protein. Saving half the cheese to create a topping for the quiche maximizes the cheese flavor while keeping the total amount fairly low.
I came up with this recipe as a sweet dessert for my kids. I love it too. My very picky son loves it.
This recipe is from Cooks Illustrated. Unlike most lowfat brownie recipes, this is moist, fudgy, and full of chocolate taste
This is from America's Test Kitchen. Since it uses all real ingredients there is no funny after taste. It's incredibly rich yet with a smooth light texture.
This is my favorite homemade salad dressing. It has fat, but the fats are healthy fats and a little goes a long way.
I love cream of tomato soup with gorgonzola, but I'm not up for the usual 500 calories a serving with over 25 grams of fat. I love this recipe and it has all the flavor of the original. It's high in fiber and protein. Each serving size of this soup is ~13-15 ounces. If you only eat 1 cup of soup as your seving the nutritional info is 140 calories and 4.7g of fat.
This is a healthy modification of a great enchilada recipe I grew up with
I invented this recipe for my Grilled Portobello sandwiches, but decided to include the Ailoli recipe as a standalone in case people wanted to use it for other things.
A delicious BBQ Sauce Recipe From Cook's Illustrated. I eliminated steps involving vegetable oil to reduce the fat and calories. Holds up well in the oven and on the grill.
