Sarah Brown recipe - filling an be frozen in individual portions. Defrost, place in an individual pie dish, cover with frozen mash, sprinkle cheese and bake at 180C until golden on top.

Also nice with jacket potatoes and a light sprinkling of cheese.

My mum's recipe with sweetener instead of sugar. My favourite cucumber salad which we often had with roast chicken when I was a child.

Tomato & Pepper Risotto with Aduki Beans

An aromatic, filling dish that freezes well - I love this risotto but have halved the portion size since my gastric bypass.

I usually eat it with a small green side salad.

Sweet root slaw

An alternative for those who can't eat cabbage.

Chicken, pea & rice soup

I use the carcase and left over chicken from my sunday roast to make this soup.
