I made this with what I had in the house. Every time I make a soup, it's different. I use very little salt in anything, and this recipe has very little in the way of seasonings because I love the flavor of barley. This is a main dish soup.
Made from a cake mix (I used Pillsbury Moist Supreme White Premium Cake Mix, but any white cake mix will do - but it will change the nutrition information). There's a candy in the center of each cookie.
It's thick with vegetables - not your grandma's chicken soup. It's broth based, but it's so thick you may have trouble finding the broth.
