My Family's homemade lasagna recipe adjusted for my Keto Diet.
Makes 12 one-cup servings
This is a keto bread recipe that kind of rises. Its taste and texture is similar to regular bread. This satisfies my bread craving and provides lots of fiber.
We went to the local Mexican restaurant to satisfy my husband's chicken tortilla soup craving, but it didn't hit the spot. He asked me to make some for him, which I did (this recipe). With each bite, he moaned, "Mmmmm, Mmmmmm." He says it's excellent. I garnish it with a slice of lime (which is a necessity), avocado slices, grated cheddar cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips.
This is a thick, creamy, fresh, healthy, homemade, yogurt without any of the thickeners, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or fillers used in store-bought brands. Once you make this, as long as you always save a half cup in the refrigerator, you'll never have to buy yogurt again. I added several tips I learned along the way so you don't have to suffer through the learning process like I did. This should provide you with tasty yogurt on your first try! I prefer to use Nancy's Organic Whole Milk Yogurt for my initial "yogurt culture" due to the fact it has 15 different strains of bacteria and 127 billion live cultures, but you can use any yogurt you like as long as it has active, live cultures. I included directions on how to make Greek yogurt in step #6, I've added alternate cooking methods in step #7, and lots of tips to perfect the taste and texture to your liking. I hope you enjoy! (With sugar, it's 165 calories, 33g carbohydrate/ sugar).
Although you can use nonfat milk to make yogurt (and I provided a recipe for that on SP too), this version is my Keto yogurt.

Satisfies chocolate craving, high in protein, low in fat.
This is one of my Arab husband's favorites. He says it tastes more authentic than what he orders in restaurants. I serve it with Bridget May's Famous Hummus, pita, rice, feta, my tzatziki-like sauce, and green olives if I have them. Delicious and nutritious.
