This recipe comes from a WWII Coupon Cook Book and has become a family favorite.
Pretty good dish, good amount of food for the points, very tasty, fairly simple to make
Shredded Zucchini, garlic and mozzarella cheese rolled in chicken cutlets, then dipped in oil and fresh lemon juice, breaded and baked to perfection.
Lean ground beef and turkey are combined with breadcrumbs and sauteed onions then shaped into patties and simmered in a mushroom gravy to create a lightened version of this retro American dish.
This delicious recipe makes good use of fresh herbs. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, substitute one teaspoon dried for one tablespoon fresh. This is a simple yet good recipe
These are delicious! VERY different from your typical cabbage roll! Notes about ingredients since you can't always put them in the way you want. It's 1.5 Lbs. ground meat, I like to mix 1 Lb. ground beef and 1/2 Lb. sausage, your call. Wherever it says ground sage, I mean fresh sage.Finely chopped garlic. 12 Large leaves of cabbage, I prefer Savoy, doesn't have to be. 1 Tbs. tomato paste.2 Cups chicken stock. Can use tomato sauce, I like to use spaghetti sauce.
Can be baked or fried, can use Almond flour to lower carbs, use olive oil cooking spray. Makes 8-10 Fritters.
Cut chicken breast into strips
1-2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
1 Med red, 1 med yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
8 oz. mushrooms
1/2 Red onion, sliced
2 Medium tomatoes, sliced
1/3 cup skim milk
1 Tbs flour
OK, 1.5# steak, 10 oz. mushrooms, 1 bay leaf, 2/3 C light sour cream
Old WW Pts=6, Points+=6, calories 251.9 (Depending on meat used) SERVE over egg noodle or spaghetti squash (will add calories)
These are very good! Can use country style ribs. Can eave out or adjust the jalapeno and Anaheim peppers.
